Building Garage Work Table

Garage work table is an important part for all garages. Build a simple workbench for your garage that provides ample work space while taking up minimal space. Spend an afternoon assembly of the workbench, provided you have all the necessary equipment and have some woodworking skills. Determine the height of the workbench. Select the height of the wall with a guide. Check line with one level and make the necessary adjustments. Install the plate angles on the wall rails. Place the top of the bracket just under the support line on the wall. Pre-drill holes for the screws. Use heavy bolts and a drill to install brackets.

Instructions

Cut six, 22-inch lengths of wood from a 2×4. Place a piece of wood saw on top of each workbench harbor freight. Butt end of wood up against wall rule. Secure wood on the bracket with a wooden screw. Measure and cut three pieces of wood from a 2×4 which is approximately 109 inches. Add these lengths of wood to brackets. Place a piece against the wall, one in the middle and one on the outer edge. Secure these with nails. Place the remaining smaller lengths of wood at the end of the cross supports. Attach them into place with nails. Make the last 2×4 to measure 110 inches. Attach this piece to the front of the workbench by nailing it on the front of the support piece.

Use a Sag particleboard to make it 110 inches long. Cut the board in the middle so you have two 24×110 cm pieces. Stack the chipboards on top of each other and place them on two of four supports. Nail chipboards to support. Handy people need a place to work with projects and organize tools. A workbench in the garage is an ideal work and tool storage space. There are many styles and sizes of workbenches to use in the garage. If your garage is messy or filled, start clearing it, getting rid of things and putting things in stock before planning a work area.

Single Workbench

Make a simple workbench with buckets and planar surfaces such as plywood or old wardrobe doors. Alternate large trash cans or large drawer’s storage for buckets. Other alternative support for workbench surfaces is old file cabinet and stacked plastic milk bags. Used Wardrobe cabinets from remodeling or salvage companies to make a simple and practical workbench. Cover a used countertop, cut the plywood size or even use old doors for the work surface. Stack cabinet for extra storage and paint or finish to match the workbench cabinet. If the space is limited, a folding workbench is a good solution. Wall-mounted work benches fold down for use, and fold out for out-of-the-way storage. A folding workbench built can be built to fold down either parallel or perpendicular to the wall.
