Measure the height of your wall from floor to ceiling. Cut two planks and two strips to match this dimension. Measure the width of the floor to ceiling tension shelves, or wall section, you want to cover with your shelves. Cut planks and stripes to match this dimension, cut as many as you need to build the number of shelves you want. For best results, aim for a shelf per 12 to 18 inches of vertical space. If you want to cover more than 36 inches of wall surfaces, build multiple devices to avoid rinsing. Sand all faces in your work. If you want to paint or paint the wood, apply your first coat now and wait to dry.
Locate wall rails on the part of the wall that you want to cover. Mark his place with a pencil. Place one of your wide strips on the wall where you want the shelves to be. Set it at the appropriate height and use your level to set it in parallel with the ground. Fix it in place by driving a nail through the strip at each point where it crosses a wall line. Repeat step two until you have mounted a strip on the wall for each shelf you want. Fit the strips so that their edges are aligned. You can use your level to check this. Set a height of plank length at the end so that its surface is located at the ends of one side of the strip. Fix it in place by driving two nails through the shelf and into the end of each of your strips. Repeat step 4 to mount the other shelf to the opposite side.
Slide a width-length plank into the floor to ceiling shelving system frame so that it rests on top of mounted tires. Use your level to keep it parallel to the ground. Solve it in place by pushing nails through the side boards and into the end of the shelf. Use a row of four evenly distributed nails. Repeat step 6 to mount the remaining shelves in the same way. You can add stability and attractiveness by fronting your planks with another set of wood steel strips. These strips can be 1/2 inch thick by 1 inch wide and mounted using nail gun.
